Predator Deterrent

Hello everyone, and welcome to the Survival Prep Shop. I’m TK, and today I’m excited to share some crucial information on survival tactics, specifically on defending against predators in the wild. Let’s dive into this essential aspect of preparedness together.

It’s very likely that during your time spent out in a survival situation, you’ll come across some kind of predator. Some places have mountain lions, others have bears, some have aggressive dogs – and almost all of them have people.

While not all predators want you dead, it’s not worth taking the chance to see if they do, because when they have their chance, they’ll take it. It’s extremely important that you have something on you at all times to deal with these kinds of predators, because if you don’t, it could very well cost you your life.

The most versatile predator deterrent available is simple bear spray. Bear spray is much like pepper spray, only it’s more powerful and designed for outdoor use. Because bears and other predators rely so heavily on smell, they have very sensitive noses.

So if a bear is threatening you, and it gets sprayed with bear spray, it will immediately feel intense pain in its nose and eyes, causing it to retreat as quickly as possible. The best bear spray available is made by Frontiersman, a highly respected and trustworthy brand.

Frontiersman bear spray comes with a belt holster, and is made with the maximum amount of deterring agents allowed by the EPA. Bear spray should always be used outside, because it’s a long range fog, and if used inside, will probably incapacitate you as well as your assailant.

For indoor and human threats, it’s better to use regular pepper spray that comes out in a stream rather than in a fog. Sabre pepper spray is used all around the world by police departments such as the NYPD, LAPD, and CPD.

Sabre pepper spray is less bulky than bear spray, and has a special UV marking dye in it. This allows police to identify suspects when they’re caught, because they’ll have a massive UV mark on their face. It comes with a small clip so you can attach it to your belt, and has a safety locking top to prevent accidental discharges.

For some threats, pepper spray isn’t the best option. The assailant might be moving too quickly, or be too close to use pepper spray on. In this case, a stun gun will work just fine. The Vipertek VTS-989 is an intense, powerful stun gun that can take down large assailants, even through thick layers of clothing. The sound of it being activated alone can scare off dogs and other aggressive animals. The longer you hold it on the assailant, the greater the effect will be. Five seconds of being shocked will leave a large man unable to move for over five minutes.

I hope you walk away from this article feeling a bit more equipped and inspired. Your engagement means the world to me. I look forward to our next discussion. Until then, happy prepping! Thanks again. TK – Survival Prep Shop
